Italy: Veneto Itinerary

Veneto is the region in the northeast of Italy bordered by the Dolomite mountains and Adriatic Sea.  It’s most known for its capital, Venice, the ever sinking city on the water, but has so much more to offer.  It’s also home to 8 UNESCO World Heritage sites such as Venice, the Prosecco Hills, the Dolomites and Verona, all on this itinerary.

From the lush vineyards boasting mouthwatering wines, skiing and hiking the mountains to lounging lakeside there is something for everyone.

  • Venice – for art, gondolas & Carnivale
  • Prosecco Hills (Conegliano & Valdobbiadene) – for vineyards with bubbles!
  • Dolomites – for hiking & Skiing
    • Cortina d’Ampezzo
    • Bolzano
    • Castelrotto
  • Verona – for Shakespeare & UNESCO Sites
  • Lake Garda (technically spans three regions)
    • Sirmione – for the hot springs & medieval castle
    • Bardolino – for the wine
    • Malcesine – for the cable car lake views
    • Limone – for the picturesque town
  • Valpolicella – for vineyards & olive groves
